Hi, I'm Lisa
Project manager. Parent. Expat living in Berlin, Germany.
Some years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment eventually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly became something much bigger.
The first months were intense — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should.
The Adaptation Phase
The early months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they needed to be.
Why I Created MossGroveWorks
Most information online fell into either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in real-life experiences in Germany.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical know-how from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when a real change occurs
This site ISN'T:
- A tourist board resource
- Paid review platform
- A general travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in Germany goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Lisa
